Things to do in Las Vegas

  • Hoover Dam  - the iconic Hoover Dam, also known as Boulder Dam, is the best-know waterway in America with a long history and legacy that dates back to the early 1930s.

  • Red Rock National Conservation Area, Red Rock Canyon- a network of impressive canyons and rock formation that provide opportunities for hiking, biking and rock climbing.

  • Valley of Fire- Nevada's oldest state park covering 34,880 acres with red-rock sandstone formations, cliffs, canons, valleys, caves and trails.

  • High Roller- the 550-foot rotating observation tower is the largest observation wheels in the world.  This wheel is so big it takes a full 30-minutes to complete one rotation.  Each pod holds 40 people.

  • The LINQ- a new addition to the Strip, an upscale outdoor mall district with the High Roller, Polaroid Fotobar and Museum and entertainment.

  • The Las Vegas Strip- is made up of top hotels, over-the-top architecture, covering 4.2 miles of Las Vegas Boulevard.

  • The Fremont Street Experience- is a massive outdoor mall inside a barrel vault canopy.  Fremont Street housed the first casino in Las Vegas.

  • Venetian Hotel Gondola rides- recreates the gondola ride on the Grand Canal of Venice in Italy.

  • Downtown Container Park- collection of boutique shops with unique goods formed from leftover shipping containers.

  • Mob Museum- from hit men to mobsters, notorious criminals to undercover police, tour the interactive exhibits; wander through federal building halls filled with rate memorabilia.

  • Neon Museum- more than 150 signs are in the Neon Boneyard to memorialize Las Vegas' history and culture over the years and preserve an art form for which Las Vegas is famous.

  • Lion Habitat Ranch- giraffes, lions, emus, ostriches, parrots and other animals.

  • Amusement park atop the Stratosphere Hotel- the tallest freestanding tower in America (1,149 ft).  Enjoy the views from the observation deck, ride the Big Shot, Insanity roller coasters or Sky Jump.

  • Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat- located at the Mirage Hotel is a mini zoo of dolphins and exotic big cats- leopards, panthers, white lions and rare white tigers.

  • National Atomic Testing Museum- Smithsonian-affiliated museum that explores the area's history, the "Atomic Age" and what nuclear history means for the world today.

  • Gold and Silver Pawn Shop (home of the Pawn Stars)- the star of the History Channel's most popular shows, Pawn Stars

  • Madame Trousseaus Wax Museum- houses 100-wax figures of celebrities

  • Bellagio Fountains- the fountains are set inside a man-made lake modeled after Lake Como Resort in Bellagio, Italy.  The fountains "perform" to choreographed musical numbers from Andrea Bocelli to Madonna.

  • Paris Hotel Eiffel Tower- enjoy a ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower in a glass elevator, 50-stories above ground, the view is impression from the Observation Deck.

  • Shark Reef- at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, it showcases more than 2,000 animals, including 15 species of sharks and an acrylic tunnel.

  • Las Vegas Motor Speedway- Las Vegas is the home to the Las Vegas 400 and the Nascar Sprint Cup Series.  You can sign up for one-of-a-kind experiences that put you in the driver's seat.

  • Las Vegas Springs Preserve- showcases 180 acres of natural  landscapes; explore winding nature trails, check out a stunning desert botanical garden and venture into a natural wetland habitat.

  • Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood- 170 stores and 20 restaurants spanning 1.2 miles entertains with an indoor rain storm and fancy water fountain spouting 50 feet in the air.

About The DiFiore Family

 

The DiFiore Family has a rich history with its origins in Bagheria, Palmero Province, Sicily, Italy.  We are the descendants of the first generation of DiFiores born in the United States, the descendants of Matteo and Maria Riggio  (1700s).
